A very common question that I get often asked by people who are interested in starting an Internet Marketing business is what sort of Internet Marketing business should I start.

The truth is there are many different types of Internet Marketing businesses that you can begin. Each one of them has different pros and cons. Some of the businesses require more technical skills, some of them require more marketing skills, some of them take lots of time and some of them take lots of money.

The main gist of what was being said from the information that was available once a member was, use the tools suggested (i.e. other linked websites), send attached emails to my lists, use these keywords on ppc (Pay Per Click) websites, attach these banners to your website plus several other perplexing instructions that at that time might just as well have been instructions on how to build a working space rocket.

On top of that the overall information wanted me to pretty much duplicate exactly what had drawn me to the website by sending other visitors there who would do exactly the same thing as I had just done (or in my case attempt to do). I later found out that this was my first brush with affiliate marketing in the rawest sense of the word.

The internet is built on the distribution of information, not the distribution of products. The sooner you understand this the faster you will begin to make money with the web. There are so many marketers that post videos on youtube blatantly pitching their products and services, writing splogs (spam blogs) and basically littering the internet with their affiliate links. This is low quality content and low quality content does nothing to drive real visitors. Using this kind of content you only fool the search engines temporarily before you get the almighty “ban” which effectively ends your online marketing career almost immediately.

The skills needed to be successful at a article marketing is the ability to create high quality articles. You can do this either by writing the article was yourself or by having somebody else write them for you. Clearly doing it yourself takes time and some writing ability. Having somebody else like them for you takes money. So if you have some time and some writing ability then you could be successful in article marketing, or, if you have some spare money to invest then you could have some articles written for you.

So instead of blatantly advertising and trying to find the next best place to buy that solo ad, or pay for that paid classified… think about where the best place would be to provide information to people looking for it. People who are looking for information about the niche you are trying to promote to. Your success in business will skyrocket, and you will be leveraging true free advertising methods on the internet by being a content provider, and not simply a consumer who pays for placement on all the great content that is the world wide web
